Sociology is the study of social world, and the behaviour of humans in a variety of situations. It examines the ways in which the forms of social structure of groups, organisations communites and various social institutions (such as economic, political or religious) affect human attitudes, actions and opportunities.
Sociology provides many distinctive perspectives on the world, generating new ideas and critiquing the old. The field of sociology includes a large number of spercialies : race and ethnic relations, urban sociology, deviance, political sociology, sociology of the family and social psychology. Almost any aspect of how human being gather together in groups, organisations and societies can be studied with in sociology. Sociology provides a broad umbrella under which many ways of examining human social life are included.
